Located in northern Burundi, Kayanza is widely recognized as one of the country's most prestigious coffee-producing regions. Its high elevations and cool climate create ideal conditions for coffees with bright acidity, floral aromas, and complex fruit notes.
Ngozi: Rich flavors from the highlands
Ngozi's mountainous landscape and favorable climate support the production of dense, high-quality Arabica beans. Coffee from this region is known for its balanced sweetness, vibrant acidity, and distinctive notes of berries and citrus fruits.
Karusi: A rising coffee region
Located in central-eastern Burundi, Karusi has emerged as an important coffee-growing area thanks to its fertile hills. The region produces coffees with excellent structure, pleasant sweetness, and a clean finish.
Gitega: Central highland heritage
Situated in the geographic center of Burundi, Gitega blends rich history with ideal high-altitude volcanic soils. This area yields smooth, highly versatile coffees with hints of dark chocolate and deep molasses notes.
Bubanza: Quality from the western highlands
Situated in western Burundi, Bubanza benefits from fertile soils and suitable climatic conditions that support coffee cultivation. The region contributes distinctive coffees with balanced profiles and growing potential, further enriching the diversity of Burundi's coffee offerings.
